Visual Activity Sort (formerly Occupation Participation Sort) Assessment Kit
The Visual Activity Sort is an assessment tool consisting of a set of 117 activity/occupation cards that have pictures of individuals performing various activities from all areas of occupation. The intended age group is from middle school through adulthood. There are 6 different ways to sort the cards based on what the professional is looking to assess. The forms/versions include: Motivation, Interest, Change in Participation after Trauma, Emotion, Performance Ability, and Pain. This tool came about when Katie O’Day, MOT, OTR/L was a student at Pacific University collaborating with Outside In for an innovative practice project & was further refined during Covid-19. This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the first owners of this dynamic tool that is slated to be on the market in the Fall of 2020. The VAS would be a great tool for a therapist in many settings including mental health, schools, outpatient, home health, SNF, acute care, and community settings.
