About the presenter: Kristin is a COTA/L and Assistant Rehab Director working for Consonus Healthcare. Practicing since 2000, she has experience in skilled nursing, home health and mental health. Kristin has served on the OTAO board since 2017. A native Oregonian, she enjoys gardening, backpacking, international travel, cooking and lingering over a good cup of coffee.

Presentation Summary

This course will explore the roles, relationships and responsibilities between OT and OTA in the delivery of Occupational Therapy Services across settings. We will discuss the value of collaboration within scope of practice as well as the components for a successful supervisor/supervisee relationship. 

By the end of this course, you will be able to: 

  • Define Supervision, Roles, and Responsibilities during the delivery of Occupational Therapy services. 
  • Understand supervision in your own practice.
  • Identify the value of collaboration between OT/OTA.
